I just learned Microsoft announced official product names for the next versions of Visual Studio and the .NET framework. "Rosario" will become Visual Studio 2010, and the framework will indeed be .NET 4.0!
They emphasized their goal of making of Visual Studio an application life-cycle management (ALM) system. They also announced they will merge the Developer and Database editions. They will even do that for VS2005 and VS2008 as well.
NOTE: I'll be retagging old Rosario posts as VS2010.
